Hey folks,
thanks for joining us yesterday, on a great cozy, rainy Sunday morning. If you missed, you can listen or read Jordan's sermon here, entitled "Jesus' Kingdom: You Aint Seen Nothin' Yet," from Luke 17:20-37. Some very important stuff to catch up on if you haven't heard it yet. Many have used this passage as support for the rapture, but the main point is a caution against indifference to the Kingdom, and to the King. Give it a listen!
We observed communion yesterday as well, moved up a week because of the holiday weekend. We were hoping to catch more of the church family here for that time in the service!
We brought out the acoustic, pared-down band yesterday, which is always fun and gives us opportunity for some creativity with song arrangements, combos of musicians, etc. Our set list was as follows:
- Famous One (Chris Tomlin)
- This is Amazing Grace (Phil Wickham)
- I Surrender All (J.W. Van Deventer, public domain)
- Hail the Day (Charles Wesley, arr. by Sovereign Grace Music)
- I Will Boast in Christ (Hillsong Worship)
Eric Durso will be preaching this coming Sunday, 11/27, on 1 Peter 1:6-7. We'll see you then, church!
