The month of October is going to be a month of prayer and support for The Samaritan Center here in Simi Valley, a parachurch organization that works with the homeless and the at-risk of becoming homeless. We'll be gathering donations in the church lobby the next four Sundays of October, and you'll be hearing about them more in our worship gatherings.
Here's what The Samaritan Center has told us they currently need:
- Sleeping Bags
- Paper Towels
- Costco, Thick Small Paper Plates
- Jackets
- Umbrellas
- Prepaid Gas Cards
- $5 - $10 Gift Cards to Local Fast Food Restaurants
We also kicked off our new class on "Practical Parenting Principles," which you can absolutely still attend, happening during second service at 10:30am, in the college room Sunday mornings.
