Hope we'll see you at our gathering tomorrow morning. We'll continue our Advent worship this week, with all Christmas hymns and carols. Don't miss out!
Jordan will be finishing up our "Biblical Manhood and Womanhood" series this week and next. Tomorrow's preaching will be on "a woman's beauty and vitality" (being a worker in the home, with her family, etc).
You can go here to get caught up on the past weeks of the series.
In a great article on The Gospel Coalition, Josh Poore writes a great article about the beauty of the church's Christmas songs. You should read it, but here's a quote for the pondering as we prepare to meet together tomorrow, and rejoice in the Gospel. The Son of God has come, and has borne all the sins of his people to the cross.
"[A]s we gather to sing with our church families this December, let us together mourn over the thorny brambles of Eden’s curse and rejoice at the prospect of a promise like this:
'No more let sins and sorrows grow
Nor thorns infest the ground
[Christ] comes to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found'"
Our singing tomorrow will include the following songs:
1. Joy To The World (Unspeakable Joy)
2. O Holy Night
