WELCOME TO GRACE KIDS!

At Grace Church, our heart's desire is to partner with parents to direct children’s hearts toward the majesty and grace of God. We believe childhood is a vital season of seed-planting while building a rich, biblical foundation that lasts a lifetime. Grace Kids Ministry desires to exalt God in our families, reach kids with the Gospel, and equip parents to disciple their children. In every interaction, safety measure, and activity, our goal is to bring glory to God so that we may reach the hearts of our children with the saving news of Jesus Christ.

CHECK-IN

To make your arrival smooth and stress-free, here is everything you need to know for a great morning:

  • Arrive 15 Minutes Early: This gives you plenty of time to meet our volunteers, check-in and  drop off your kids, and comfortably find a seat in the worship center.
  • Quick & Secure Check-In: Families receive personalized security check-in stickers to ensure safety and seamless drop-off/pick-up for every child. Returning families can use any self-check-in kiosk located in the building lobbies.
  • Secure Pick-Up: Children are released to approved family members presenting the  matching security tag or checking out with the lead volunteer teacher.
  • Screened Leaders: Every classroom is led by caring volunteers who have completed a thorough screening process, including a formal application, background check (Live Scan), safety training, and personal interview.

CLASSES

Every Sunday morning, we guide children through the Scriptures in an engaging, age-appropriate way that is easy to understand and follow.

  • Scripture-Centered Teaching: Using The Gospel Project for Kids, we walk through the big story of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, showing how all of God's Word points directly to Jesus.
  • Spiritual Growth: We help children grow and mature in their knowledge of the Bible, grounding them in essential biblical truths to equip them for a life following Jesus Christ.
  • Partnership with Parents: Because parents are the primary disciple-makers in the home, we strive to walk alongside you with resources and encouragement for everyday family worship.

OUR MINISTRY IS READY FOR KIDS OF EVERY AGE!

Our newborn through 23-month rooms are designed to support parents by providing a caring, Christ-centered environment where your precious little ones can experience a safe and peaceful space. We consider it a joy to care for your child so you can fully focus on and be refreshed during corporate worship!

  • What to Bring: Please bring a labeled diaper bag with extra diapers, a change of clothes, and any favorite comfort item or toy to help your baby feel right at home.
  • Check-In & Security: Upon check-in, you will receive a personalized Security Sticker, please retain for family pick-up after service. (Note: Only female workers perform diaper changes and restroom assistance).
Our Preschool ministry (ages 2 through Kindergarten) focuses on keeping your child actively engaged while teaching them foundational truths about God’s Word! Using The Gospel Project for Kids curriculum, we help young minds see the Big Story of the Bible and learn to fear, trust, and love the Lord. Don't be surprised if they come home tired from an action-packed morning of learning, activities, worship, and play!

  • Dedicated Teachers: Preschool volunteers are regular attenders who are pre-screened, background-checked, and equipped to shepherd your child.
  • Classroom Divisions: Classes are conveniently divided by age (2s, 3s, 4s/5s, and Kindergarten) in Building C to provide age-tailored instruction.
  • Check-In & Pick-Up: A personalized Security Sticker will be issued at check-in. Children will be released to an approved family member presenting the matching sticker.
For our elementary students, our traditional classes come alongside parents to ground children in the Scriptures, build a biblical worldview, and call them to a saving relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Through Christ-centered teaching, interactive discussions, and fellowship, kids learn to glorify God, grow in His Word, and share the Good News.

  • Class Divisions: Students gather in Building B, organized into three targeted learning groups: 1st–2nd grade, 3rd–4th grade, and 5th–6th grade.
  • What to Bring: Kids are encouraged to bring their Bibles and come ready to learn, memorize Scripture, and grow together!
  • Parent Partnership: We aim to equip you as the primary disciple-maker in your home, providing newsletter updates and resources so you can reinforce the Sunday lesson throughout the week.

GRACE KIDS NEXT STEPS

Child Dedication is a public affirmation where parents commit to living holy lives before the Lord and dedicating themselves to teaching, training, and discipling their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Because salvation is by God’s grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ alone, the dedication ceremony does not impart salvation to a child; rather, it serves as a solemn covenant for parents to lead a God-honoring home while inviting our church family to come alongside them in family discipleship.

Serving in Grace Kids Ministry is a high calling to exalt God, reach children with the Gospel, and support parents in making disciples. Volunteers typically serve one Sunday per month (or during seasonal programs like Renew Kids) for a one-year commitment. To maintain the highest standard of safety and care, all volunteers complete an application, affirm our Statement of Faith, undergo a background check and Live Scan, complete child safety training, and complete a pastoral interview.

GK Crew is a student leadership and service opportunity for 4th–6th grade students who regularly attend Grace Church and desire to serve within Grace Kids Ministry. Crew members learn what it means to be F.A.S.T. (Faithful, Available, Servant-leader, Teachable) as they assist classroom teachers, welcome new families, help with check-in or audio/visuals, and set a Christlike example for younger kids. Joining requires a student and parent application, a leader reference, and participation in periodic crew meetings and annual training.

FAQs

When you arrive, head to a Grace Kids Welcome & Check-In station where our volunteers will assist you with registering your family, print security name tags, and escort you to your child’s age-appropriate classroom. You will find a warm, God-centered environment designed to help your child grow in the Scriptures while you attend corporate worship.

Visit any of our Check-In stations near the ministry entrances to print a personalized security tag for your child and a matching claim sticker for yourself. You will present your matching sticker to classroom leaders at the end of service, as children are only released to approved parents or guardians.

Every volunteer completes a thorough screening process—including a detailed application, background check, Live Scan fingerprinting, and child abuse prevention training—and we set policies requiring at least two workers per classroom. Additionally, classroom doors remain unlocked with clear window visibility, and facilities feature secure check-in and evacuation protocols.

If your child requires your attention during the service, our ministry team will send a text message directly to the cell phone number provided during check-in. Please keep your phone set to vibrate so you can quickly see any notification while in worship.

Yes! Families are always welcome to keep their children in the main sanctuary during corporate worship, though age-graded classes (Nursery through 6th grade) are available if you prefer.

We are happy to partner with you to support any medical, behavioral, or physical needs as our resources allow. Certain limitations may prevent us from providing necessary accommodations in certain instances, so please inform our check-in team so we can add notes to your child's profile and notify their teachers. Please note that for safety reasons, our volunteers do not administer oral medications.
